They don't mention it, but the strap is tool-free quick release, 22mm lugs. Super convenient.

Inside the watch is a Japanese Miyota automatic movement with hand-winding. I have no problem with the movement, but I think that with a watch of this price people might expect a Swiss movement.
Limited to just 12 pieces the Dream Watch IV iPhone 4S case is made out of beadblasted titanium. The finish should look amazing if I know anything about De Bethune timepieces. The watch dial itself is done in a specially colored blue titanium with diamonds and 18k white gold to look like stars. Purely mechanical, the time is told via discs that read the hours and minutes. These dials are simply put, gorgeous. Still not sure how the watch is wound or where the crown is. Now you can protect your iPhone 4S with a case you are actually more concerned about damaging. Like I said, only 12 pieces will be made.
This timepiece is a bit of a hybrid as Marvin has taken the classic look it constructed with the Malton 160 Cushion and added a high style fashionable look with the green tones. You could even think of it as a military inspired watch once in a while. Overall, a timepiece with a lot of character that you'll want to revisit on your wrist from time to time. Priced at ,260, you can buy them online directly from Marvin right here.
The Omega Central Tourbillon watches are all placed in DeVille cases (this far) and are in precious materials. From 1994 – 2010 Omega released about seven variations of the tourbillon movement. In 1997 the movement grew up a bit to become the Caliber 2600A. What really changed was the application of the automatic winding system that was now part of the movement itself. The watch designs were of course changed as well.
While the watch feels very different from what I have come to expect from Artya, I do always expect to be surprised by the brand's latest offering. The Perpetual Calendar is both weird and wonderful, and certainly polarizing. I love the look of the MH0130 movement as well as the bezel design. Not sure about price yet, but there will only be 10 'piece uniques' in the set.Read more ›

With an interesting design and unique character, these are certainly of the mos interesting indy watches from 2011 that don't cost a fortune. They are also a good way to get into the Itay Noy brand if nothing from them so far has moved you. Price is ,640- ,900 (,640 as shown). You can learn more or buy one from Bareti here.

The concept of the collection is "Les Voyages." In all there are maybe a dozen limited edition pieces - though a few seem to have differing names, the classification system confuses me a bit. Most come in something like sets of 22 pieces. There is one set that comes together as 4 pieces and retails for 5,000. This includes the four watches and a special presentation box that is a piece of art unto itself. Each year Van Cleef & Arpels makes boxes such as this. They very high quality and made from a combination of woods with inlays such as mother of pearl. The box has places for all four of the watches along with little windows to see them while the box is closed.Read more ›
The green elements on the dial match the "snakey" theme of the strap quick well. And how often do you get a watch with gold and green together? Not often I would guess. While unconventional, the dial is legible, and it displays the time and the chronograph counters - no sub seconds dial. The case itself is 42.5mm wide with a sapphire crystal. Inside the watch is a Swiss automatic movement, but I am not sure by who. It has further been modified specially for de GRISOGONO according to them.

It is deceptively simple and pretty. I think I actually prefer Girard-Perregaux's use of minimalism over a brand like Vacheron Constantin. This is their 1966 Perpetual Calendar watch with an automatic in-house movement and also a moon phase indicator. A lovely thing in 18k white or rose gold. Don't be fooled by its demure looks, it still costs around ,000.

Call me impressed as I make my return trip from Capri. Even though the island is nice enough to be highly distracting, I am convinced that Omega is serious about its product and dedication to opening more communication with the consumer. If you haven’t looked at what Omega has been selling for a few years, wait until early fall (when many of these new products will more available) then go check out your local dealer. Now I have to revisit the plan of how to get some for myself.
You can disagree with me but I think that watches containing hand-painted dials are pretty cool. Especially when the dials depict actually masculine things like dragons. Most of these watches seem to be of flowers, fairies, or family portraits. I can dig these. Not on a daily basis, but I can dig these pretty well.
