Wearing this watch around won't get you as many looks as something in gold or covered in diamonds. That is actually sad. Wearing a "glass house" watch might get attention from the right people - but they might as well assume it is polycarbonate or not give it much thought. Diamonds will get you a lot more notice and a fully diamond covered case will actually be MUCH cheaper than this watch. Ironic right? Still... at least you'll know how complicated it is.
Water resistance: 3ATM/30m/ 90'
Also very unusual are the lugs. Instead of a threaded bar or standard spring bars, Helson uses a 1.75mm bar that threads into one of the lugs:
While Bovet does make movements, the Sportster models use Dubois Depraz automatic chronographs. I believe these are Valjoux 7750s with a big date module on them. The decoration on the movement is some of the best I've seen for a 7750 base, and the custom blued automatic rotor is attractive. As a sports watch, the Sportster Saguaro doesn't mess around. It is water resistant to 300 meters, has a sapphire crystal, comfy rubber strap, and as stated before, the case has a really thick and durable feel.
Dial indication: Central hours and minutes, small seconds disc at 9 o’clock
In addition to the inclusion of a power reserve indicator the dial has been updated a bit from the original. Most noticeably are the use of all rhodiumed gold baton hour markers. The original Datograph used a few Roman numerals ones. The dial of the watch is solid silver with black application.

Inside the watch is a Swiss Sellita SW200 automatic movement which is basically the same as an ETA 2824. Marvin always tends to do straps rather well and the one on this Malton 160 Cushion is no different. It is a perforated leather, in green, with a red lining. When is a watch like this a good idea aside from St. Patrick's day? And when you want to be a frog prince? Green has been working its way back "in" and I think that you could pull this watch off in a number of casual occasions.
Satellite complication — patented — with orbiting hours and telescopic minute hands
The case is 44mm wide in steel and clearly has some resemblance to the IWC Aquatimer. I like the large crown and masculine, but not too massive, chronograph pushers. The watch is water-resistant to 300m which is pretty good for a diver style chronograph. One thing I don't get is the markers on the rotating bezel. They look cool, sure, but why a navigational bezel? I mean, it isn't totally without use, but it feels more for show than anything else. I would prefer a more standard diver's style bezel with a 60 minute ring - a 60 minute countdown ring might be interesting, actually.

At first I found this watch boring, but the more I understand what it is for, the more I appreciate the strict utility concept behind it. You can see more images of the watch at Archimede's website. Inside the watch is a Swiss Sellita SW200 automatic movement. Price for the Archimede Outdoor is 5 on the leather strap and 5 on the steel bracelet, and they can be ordered online from Archimede here.

The leather strapped version costs 5, and the top model includes the steel bracelet. Get your self an e-Ink watch if you don't have one yet - they are worth it to wear even just ones in a while.
